serving our community beyond the table

Our Approach

At Spaces in the City, hospitality is about more than creating unforgettable events, it's about caring for the community we call home. Every celebration, gathering, and partnership is an opportunity to give back, support meaningful causes, and make a lasting difference. Together with our clients, team, and community partners, we're proud to make every gathering matter.

Serving those who serve

Each year, we are proud to host Serving Those Who Serve, a special annual appreciation event dedicated to the first responders who selflessly protect and care for our community every day. This complimentary luncheon brings together firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and other emergency professionals for an afternoon of great food, fellowship, and gratitude.

It is our way of recognizing the unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and service of those who are always there when our community needs them most. We are honored to celebrate these everyday heroes and thank them for the vital role they play in keeping our community safe, supported, and strong.

emerald youth

At Spaces in the City, we are honored to support the incredible work of Emerald Youth Foundation and the young people they serve. Each year, we have the privilege of serving more than 2,000 guests at the Emerald Youth Prayer Breakfast, bringing our community together in support of the organization's mission.

Throughout the year, we also welcome students into our venues for hands-on learning experiences, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at careers in hospitality, catering, and events. From celebrating graduating seniors to hosting holiday gatherings, we're honored to create meaningful moments that encourage, inspire, and invest in the next generation.

Knox Area Rescue Ministries

We believe caring for our community extends beyond the guests we serve. Safe, unused food from our events is donated to Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM), where it helps provide nourishing meals for individuals and families in need throughout our community.

Each year, we donate thousands of pounds of food to KARM, helping reduce food waste while ensuring that meals prepared with care continue to serve a meaningful purpose. It's one of the many ways we strive to make a positive impact, extending the spirit of hospitality and generosity long after an event has come to a close.

Supporting Those Who Serve Our Community

Each year, Spaces in the City is honored to host charitable galas, fundraisers, and community events across our venues, helping local organizations further their missions and make a lasting impact. Through our venues, catering, and hospitality, we are proud to provide the spaces, exceptional food, and seamless event experiences that allow these organizations to focus on what matters most.

It is a privilege to welcome our community together to celebrate, give back, and support meaningful causes. Below are just a few of the incredible organizations we have had the honor of serving and supporting throughout East Tennessee.
